Press Release:
Rachael Naylor Announces the Closure of The VoiceOver Network After 10 Years of Supporting the Industry
London, 31st January 2025 – Rachael Naylor, founder and CEO of The VoiceOver Network, has announced the closure of the organization after a decade of dedication to supporting and empowering voice actors. Since its inception, The VoiceOver Network has been a beacon of community, education, and inspiration for voice actors worldwide, helping tens of thousands advance their careers and connect with like-minded professionals.
“When I started The VoiceOver Network, my mission was simple: to help voice actors thrive in their careers and create a supportive, uplifting space within the industry,” said Naylor. “Over the past ten years, we’ve built something extraordinary. Through our events, workshops, podcasts, competitions, and The Buzz Magazine, we’ve made a lasting impact on the lives and careers of so many.”
The Buzz Magazine, the only magazine in the world dedicated exclusively to the voiceover industry, has been a cornerstone of The VoiceOver Network’s contributions. With insightful articles, industry news, and resources, it has provided invaluable knowledge and inspiration to voice actors globally.
The VoiceOver Network has been at the forefront of the voiceover industry, hosting popular events such as VOND (VoiceOver Networking Drinks), GET YOUR GAME ON conferences, and The VoiceOver Hour LIVE webinars. The organization also fostered learning and growth through its workshops, podcasts, and community-building initiatives.
Naylor’s journey as a leader in the industry has been marked by resilience and determination. Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2018, she has faced significant personal and professional challenges while balancing her health, single motherhood, her own voiceover career, and running the business. Despite her unwavering commitment, health concerns over the past year have necessitated this difficult decision.
“Last year was incredibly challenging for me health-wise, and it’s become clear that I need to take time to focus on my health, personal life, and family,” Naylor shared. “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closure of The VoiceOver Network. I am deeply sorry but incredibly grateful for the support I’ve received over the years from our members, my incredible team, teachers, speakers, and partners.”
As The VoiceOver Network winds down, Naylor remains proud of the community and legacy she has built. Her passion for the voiceover industry and commitment to its growth and success will continue to resonate with those she has inspired and supported.
“Thank you to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey,” said Naylor. “While this chapter is closing, my love for this industry and the amazing people in it remains steadfast. I’m looking forward to focusing on my health and family while finding new ways to support the community in the future.”
